The Glide Trac (GT) Series Slide-Away Liftgate offers a genuine solution for users’ complex loading and delivery situations. The GT series design simplifies the installation process while maximizing usable trailer capacity and reducing the potential downtime. And, the GT conveniently slides completely away underneath the rear of the trailer during transit and for unobstructed rear-door access at dock-loading sites.
The GT Series advantages include
- Can be mounted on trailers with either swing-type or roll up doors
- Does not add to trailer length, making it ideal for 53-foot trailer applications
- Mounts easily to most dry-freight and refrigerated trailers
- Requires no modification of trailer sills up to 11.5” deep, and no moving of
OEM lights or door hardware - Requires only 64" behind the rear axle for mounting
- Large, single-fold, level ride platform featuring a rugged steel main section and
a lightweight aluminum folding section - Stores completely underneath the trailer eliminating the potential for
backing damage at loading docks - It allows you to completely seal at cushioned docks
- Since it is shipped completely assembled and tested from the factory,
installation is significantly simplified - Bolt on design allows easy removal and/or transfer
GT Series liftgates also come fully assembled and tested from our factory to ensure the highest quality lift. Installing the GT Series requires simply bolting the liftgate to the trailer cross members, therefore it is easily removed at the end of the trailer life or switched to another trailer. Two 12-volt batteries are already in the battery box, and the hydraulic pump unit is filled with oil, mounted, wired and plumbed before the liftgate leaves the factory. Waltco’s exclusive SuperSwitch controls with L.E.D. power indicator lights and Waltco’s Thermalpak with Voltage Guard are also in place and ready to go.
