WALTCO OFFERS GALVANIZED FINISHES ON WDV, GT, & HLF SERIES OF LIFTGATES

(TALLMADGE, Ohio, March 6, 2012) Whether customers demand the durability and long-lasting beauty of powder coat finishes or the more robust protection that galvanization offers in extreme environments, Waltco Lift Corp. is able to offer both finishes on their liftgates.

“For more than a decade, we’ve been leading the industry in liftgate finishes, including one of the industry’s first powder coat systems,” said Bill Kreutinger, Waltco’s Vice President of Engineering. “Last year, we also launched a new zinc-based paint primer and topcoat system to fight corrosion and limit rust creep in every Waltco liftgate.”

Because many customers demand the heavy-duty protection of hot dip galvanization, especially when operating in environments subject to heavy rain or snow or temperature extremes, Waltco has continued to offer galvanization as an option on the WDV, GT, and HLF series of liftgates.

“Galvanization is something we have offered for over 15 years, but lately we’re seeing an increased focus for better forms of corrosion resistance,” said Kreutinger. “Galvanization can help withstand the elements and keep our liftgates looking and performing like new, longer. In addition, our galvanization partner performs all processes right here in the U.S., reflecting our commitment to offering a product that is proudly made in the United States.”
